Disconnect & delete your data

Updated September 12, 2026

You can manage social data separately from your website. For help or account-wide deletion, contact [email protected]. You do not need to sign in to read these instructions.

Disconnect a publishing account

  1. Sign in to Acuzi and open Social Posts.
  2. Select the website you want to manage using the website selector.
  3. Under Publishing accounts, find the Facebook, Instagram or X account and choose Disconnect.
  4. Read and confirm the action. If a post is being delivered, wait briefly and retry; a busy response means the disconnection has not completed.

This removes the selected account's stored access credential for this website and returns its queued or scheduled posts to drafts. It preserves saved captions, photos and history. Other websites remain connected. An older, unfinished login window cannot restore the disconnected account; start a new connection if you change your mind.

Delete all social data for one website

  1. In Social Posts, select the correct website.
  2. Find Your social data and choose Delete this website’s social data.
  3. Review the explanation, type DELETE SOCIAL DATA, and choose Permanently delete social data.
  4. Wait for the deletion confirmation. If delivery is in progress, retry after it finishes.
This deletes active social connections, saved drafts, captions, photos, schedules, delivery history and pending connection requests for the selected website. It keeps the website itself, its articles, leads, subscription and other websites. This action cannot be undone.

Revoke permission at Facebook, Instagram or X

Local disconnection does not revoke Acuzi's permission across every website. To revoke the network authorization, open that network's settings, locate its apps, connected apps or business integrations, select Acuzi and remove its access. For Facebook Login connections, check Facebook's Business integrations settings, as well as Apps and websites where applicable. Menu names may vary.

Revoking access at the network stops future authorized API calls, but does not by itself delete records already stored in Acuzi. Use the deletion action above or contact us. Reconnection requires a new authorization.

Already published posts

Disconnecting or deleting Acuzi data does not delete posts from Facebook, Instagram or X. Remove those posts directly on the network. If a delivery outcome was uncertain, check the account for the post before assuming it was not sent.

Request account-wide deletion or get help

Email [email protected] with the subject Acuzi data deletion request. Include your Acuzi account email and the website or connected social account you mean. Specify whether you want social data only or your entire Acuzi account removed. If you cannot sign in, you can still email us.

We will verify ownership before processing the request and confirm its scope and outcome. Do not include passwords, API keys, access tokens or payment-card details. Account-wide deletion, subscription cancellation, refunds and deleting remote social posts are different actions; tell us which you need. Any necessary accounting, security or legal retention will be explained when responding.

Read our privacy policy for more information about how Acuzi handles data.
